Our attendants
My sister, Anna Hunt, stood as my maid of honour, and my best friend, Tamela Paddenburg, was my bridesmaid. John chose his best friends Jordan Williams (best man) and Tony Tullbane (groomsman) to stand up for him. My brother-in-law, Dylan Hunt, was good enough to be our usher, and it's not because we felt we needed to include him. We need someone to keep those home video cameras out of the church and he has a knack for saying "No" to people without making them feel like he's attacking them. He was perfect for the job.
They all did a wonderful job making us feel comfortable on our wedding day and beforehand. Jordan, his wife Tasha, and Tami took John out after the rehearsal dinner to the bar at the Holiday Inn where they were staying, where they made sure he made up for missing his bachelor trip. Needless to say Jordan was a little hung over the next day, although John seemed to just wash it off with his morning shower (fortunately!).
My girls on the other hand, kept me sane the day of the wedding when my parents were running a little late in getting to the church. My sister was especially helpful in the morning, when we went to the hairdresser who threw up his hands when he saw what I gave him to work with. Fortunately for me, his associate next to him had a pretty good idea of what could be done, so she ended up finishing my hair-do. Then I got talked into having my make-up done as well, so that worked out great! All in all, things went smoothly which was quite a surprise looking back on it.
